The Lucy Bird
Stitching School
Maybe you made a resolution that you finally want to learn how to sew this year. Maybe you see a ton of different projects on Pinterest and you wish you knew how to make them! Maybe you just want to get out and socialize a bit more and think that it would be cool to hang out with other people who think sewing is cool.
If you're any of the above, then The Lucy Bird Stitching School is for you!
The Lucy Bird Stitching School is designed for beginner wanna-be sewers. No experience necessary! Both adult and children's classes are offered.
In the class we'll learn the basics of the sewing machine, general supplies, how to select fabric, and basic piecing techniques which can be used to make your own quilt! The beginners piecing course will teach you how to rotary cut, sew a 1/4 inch seam, match your intersections and press. Then repeat.

Questions & Answers:
What is the class size?
Class size is limited to 6 students. This is for both adult and children's classes.
What if I don't know how to sew?
Great! Then beginner's sewing classes are for you. The projects are geared for a novice.
Do I have to have my own sewing machine?
Nope! I understand that if you're a beginner, then you may not be sure whether you want to invest in a machine. The class fee includes use of a new Brother sewing machine.
Can I bring my own sewing machine?
Sure, but only if you know how to run it already and troubleshoot problems. I am not an expert on different sewing machines, so I would hate for class time to be used trying to figure out how to use various machines.
What do I need to bring?
After payment, if you will receive an email with a list of items for you to bring to class.
How long is class?
I schedule each class for 2.5 hours, which should be plenty of time to complete our project!
What if I need to cancel?
Classes are non-refundable, however, with 24 hours notice, we can reschedule your session for a different date and time.
